Battle on the Border News Conference Scheduled for September 8

SHREVEPORT- The City of Shreveport will host a news conference for the 2015 Landers Dodge Battle on the Border High School Football Showcase at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8 in the Stadium Club at Independence Stadium.

Local dignitaries, high school officials, media and football fans will have an opportunity to hear participating coaches speak about their respective teams as well as their Battle on the Border opponents. The news conference will be streamed live on the Battle on the Border website at

The fifth annual showcase continues to feature regional and national power house high school football programs from Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. The showcase will also feature its first seven-game, three-day format, providing a full slate of weekend games for area and regional high school football fans.

Tickets for the Battle on the Border start at $10 for advanced general admission, and one ticket is good for all seven games. For more information visit
